There was a funny interaction between our young actor, Jaden Kwan, and Anthony Wong. Everyone on set was a little nervous — even the Canadian crew — aware of Anthony’s legendary status. But Jaden, being young and Canadian-born Chinese, wasn’t intimidated at all. One day between scenes, he walked right up to Anthony, who was sitting in his makeup chair, and said, “Your English pronunciation is a bit off — it should sound like this.” The crew froze, afraid Anthony might take offense, but Anthony just laughed and grinned, as if thinking, “This kid’s got guts,” before adding with a smirk, “Your Cantonese is off too, kid!”
From that day on, the two kept teasing each other, playfully correcting one another’s lines and delivery. Their lighthearted rapport broke the ice and helped the entire crew relax — a reminder that even on a serious film, humor and humility keep the spirit alive.
一天,在場景之間的空檔,他走到坐在化妝椅上的黃秋生面前,說道:「Your English pronunciation is a bit off — it should sound like this.」 隨即帶著調皮的笑意回應:「Your Cantonese is off too, kid!」
